United Nations General Assembly
The United Nations General Assembly is the chief deliberative and representative organ of the United Nations, in which all member states are represented. Each country has one vote regardless of size or budget contribution. It convenes annual regular sessions at UN Headquarters in New York and can be called into special and emergency sessions. It elects the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General, and approves the organization's budget.
