Hawk surface-to-air missile system

The MIM-23 Hawk is a medium-range surface-to-air missile system developed for the United States Army and adopted in the early 1960s. It is designed to engage aircraft and cruise missiles at low to medium altitudes. The system was originally produced by Raytheon (then the defense electronics unit of RCA) and later manufactured under license by several allied nations. It has served in the air defenses of numerous NATO members and other U.S. partners and has undergone multiple upgrades over decades of service.
