GREVIO
GREVIO (Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence) is an independent expert body established within the Council of Europe to monitor the implementation of the Istanbul Convention by states parties. Composed of experts elected by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, it assesses national legislation and practices on preventing violence against women and domestic violence and on prosecuting and protecting victims. GREVIO publishes periodic evaluation reports and may recommend specific measures to bring state policies into line with the Convention's requirements.
