Graham-Blumenthal sanctions bill

The Graham–Blumenthal sanctions bill is a U.S. legislative initiative introduced by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal aimed at imposing tougher sanctions on Russia and its trading partners in response to the invasion of Ukraine. The bill includes measures targeting countries and companies that help circumvent existing restrictions, as well as mechanisms for the confiscation of Russian sovereign assets. It has been taken up repeatedly in the House of Representatives and the Senate and has become one of the central vehicles of bipartisan pressure on Moscow.
