SpaceX restricts Starlink speed for Ukrainian military without warning
In the night of October 14, SpaceX unilaterally imposed a speed-based restriction on Starshield (the military package of Starlink) terminals used by Ukraine's Defense Forces during movement, without prior warning. The limit was set at 100 mph (approximately 160 km/h), above which terminals lose connection. The restriction disrupted drone missions, including interceptors and high-speed Middle Strike-type UAVs, and Ukraine's Ministry of Defense is in contact with the US, SpaceX and NATO partners, while collecting data and activating backup communication channels.
