Ukraine's prosecutor general resigns after 'Carthage' corruption investigation targets his office
Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko resigned on the evening of 7 September after NABU and SAPO searches and arrests tied to an alleged scheme in which his office "roofed" fraudulent call centres and laundered over 89 million hryvnias in assets. Kravchenko denies involvement and frames his departure as a "political decision." President Zelensky confirmed the resignation would be sent to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.
