German Bundestag
The German parliament, formally the Bundestag, is the lower house of the Federal Republic of Germany's legislature and the only federal body directly elected by the German people. It passes federal legislation, elects the federal government, and oversees its actions. Together with the Bundesrat, which represents the German states, it forms the country's legislative branch.
