German Federal Ministry of Finance

The Federal Ministry of Finance (Bundesministerium der Finanzen) is the cabinet-level ministry of the German federal government responsible for fiscal policy, the federal budget, taxation, and customs. It is led by the Federal Minister of Finance, traditionally one of the most senior members of the cabinet. The ministry is headquartered in Berlin and also manages the federal debt and represents Germany in financial affairs within the European Union.
