Frontex
Frontex is the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, the EU body responsible for coordinating operational cooperation among member states on border management. Headquartered in Warsaw, it supports national authorities in guarding the EU's external borders, carries out risk analysis, and organises joint operations and rapid interventions, including against irregular migration. The agency is led by an executive director appointed by the European Council on the European Commission's proposal.
