Zelensky tells UN General Assembly Putin is 'patient zero' of global war, details foreign nationals in Russian forces
President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the 81st UN General Assembly in New York on September 23, calling Vladimir Putin a "patient zero" who spreads the idea of war around the world. He laid out Ukrainian battlefield figures, announced the FREYJA anti-ballistic defense initiative with 10 partner countries, named 11 countries whose citizens he said Russia is using to fight in Ukraine, and warned that winter could become a weapon in both directions if Russia keeps striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
