Free Democratic Party
The Free Democratic Party (FDP) is a German liberal political party founded in 1948. It traditionally advocates economic liberalism, free markets, European integration and civil liberties. The FDP has repeatedly served as a junior coalition partner in federal governments, notably from 2009 to 2013 and again from 2021 to 2025.
