Fort de Brégançon
Fort de Brégançon is the official summer residence of the President of France, situated on the small island of Brégançon in the Mediterranean off the Var coast in the south of the country. The fort, originally built in the sixteenth century, has served as the presidential retreat since 1968, when it was adopted by Georges Pompidou, and has since been used for hosting visiting heads of state and government.
