Finnish Ministry of Defence
Finland's Ministry of Defence is the government department responsible for the national defence policy of the Republic of Finland, the administration of the Finnish Defence Forces and military planning. It is led by the Minister of Defence, who sits on the Finnish Government (the Council of State). The ministry oversees defence procurement, international military cooperation and Finland's participation in NATO, which the country joined in 2023.
