Federal Prosecutor's Office of Germany
The Federal Prosecutor's Office of Germany (Generalbundesanwaltschaft) is the federal prosecutorial authority of the Federal Republic of Germany, based at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. It investigates offences against the state — including espionage, terrorism and crimes against humanity — and prosecutes federal cases before the higher courts. The office is headed by the Generalbundesanwalt, who is appointed by the President of Germany.
