Federal Foreign Office
The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, known as the Auswärtiges Amt, is the cabinet-level ministry responsible for the country's foreign policy and diplomatic relations. It is headed by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, currently Johann Wadephul, and is based in Berlin. The ministry oversees Germany's diplomatic missions abroad and represents German interests in international organisations, including the European Union and the United Nations.
