FBI Washington Field Office
The FBI Washington Field Office is the Federal Bureau of Investigation's field office headquartered in Washington, D.C. It oversees FBI operations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding parts of Virginia and Maryland, and handles a large share of the Bureau's national-security and counterterrorism work. The office reports to FBI Headquarters in Washington and works closely with federal prosecutors and other U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies on major investigations.

US indicts five linked to Russian intelligence over alleged plot to kill dissidents and plan sabotage in Ukraine-supporting countries
