European Union Agency for Cybersecurity
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) is the EU's permanent agency dedicated to cybersecurity across the Union. It is headquartered in Athens, with an operational office in Heraklion on Crete. Founded in 2004, it received a permanent mandate under the EU Cybersecurity Act of 2019, strengthening its role in supporting member states and EU institutions. ENISA assists with incident response, runs the EU's cybersecurity certification framework for ICT products and services, and organises joint cyber exercises and capacity-building activities.
