European Defence Fund
The European Defence Fund is an EU programme established in 2021 to support cooperative defence research and the joint development of armaments and military capabilities across the Union. It finances multinational projects involving companies and research bodies from several member states, with the aim of strengthening Europe's industrial and technological base in defence. Funding covers the full cycle from early-stage research through prototyping and certification of new systems. The Fund is administered by the European Commission, primarily through its directorates responsible for defence industry and space.
