European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is an international financial institution founded in 1991 to support the transition of former centrally planned economies toward market-oriented systems. Headquartered in London, it invests mainly in private-sector projects and infrastructure across a region stretching from Central Europe to Central Asia. Its shareholders include governments, the European Union and the European Investment Bank. Since 2022 the EBRD has sharply increased its engagement in Ukraine, becoming one of the largest external investors supporting the country's economy and energy infrastructure.

Ukraine and Canada sign energy cooperation deal and 100-Year Partnership declaration
Ukraine's and Canada's energy ministers signed a Joint Statement on deepening energy cooperation on September 11, alongside a broader package of bilateral commitments. Canada announced new financial measures to support Ukraine's energy sector ahead of the 2026/2027 heating season, an air defense interceptor missile package, and a Drone Deal. President Zelensky and Prime Minister Carney also signed a Declaration on 100-Year Partnership.
