EU Strategy for the Danube Region
The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) is a macro-regional initiative of the European Union launched in 2010 by the European Commission, covering nine participating states and parts of their territories within the Danube River basin. It aims to coordinate policy in transport, energy, environment, security and socio-economic development through joint projects and priority area work streams. Governance is shared between the participating countries and EU institutions, with the Priority Area Coordination Office based in Bratislava.
