Equal Earth
Equal Earth is a cartographic project that produces a world map in an equal-area pseudocylindrical projection. It was developed by Shamshuddin Shirashi, Tom Patterson and Bernhard Jenny as an open-source alternative to existing equal-area projections, designed to represent the sizes of countries and continents more accurately. The map is distributed under an open licence and has been adopted by educational publishers, media outlets and international organisations.
