Energoatom
Energoatom is the Ukrainian state-owned company that operates the country's four functioning nuclear power plants. It reports to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and is responsible for a large share of the country's electricity generation. Following Russia's 2022 invasion, the company became central to the crisis over the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

IAEA-brokered ceasefire enables repairs at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
A local ceasefire brokered by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took effect on 5 September 2026 in the area of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, allowing Ukrainian specialists to repair the damaged 330-kilovolt Feroplavna-1 power line and restore off-site power to the facility. The plant has been running on emergency diesel generators since 20 August, when the line was damaged in hostilities, and the IAEA warned that diesel reserves were running low.
