Élysée Palace
The Élysée Palace is the official residence of the President of the French Republic, located on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. It houses the president's office and private apartments, and serves as the venue for official meetings, state receptions and meetings of the Council of Ministers. The neoclassical building was constructed in the early 18th century to designs by Armand-Claude Mollet and Michel-Ange Challe, originally as a private mansion, and has served as the presidential residence since 1848.

US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner traveled to Kyiv on 6 September 2026 — their first visit to Ukraine since negotiations began in February 2025 — for three rounds of talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, a day after holding more than three hours of talks with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. National security advisors from Germany, France and the United Kingdom joined the second round. The Americans publicly called for a return to a Ukraine-US-Russia trilateral format, but no concrete breakthrough was announced and sources briefed on the talks said the war is unlikely to end before winter.
