Kallas outlines three-pillar EU response to Russian Black Sea escalation
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas told the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 20 October that the bloc is responding to Russian attacks in the Black Sea along three tracks: preserving Ukrainian agricultural exports, strengthening maritime security, and intensifying international diplomatic pressure on Russia. She said Ukraine is losing around 60 million euros a day in export revenues due to intensified Russian strikes on export routes since mid-July, and that Moscow had rejected a Black Sea agreement proposed by Kyiv.
