Domodedovo Airport
Domodedovo Airport is an international airport located in the south of Moscow Oblast, roughly 45 km from central Moscow. It is one of the three principal airports serving the Russian capital, alongside Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo. The airport is among the largest in Russia by passenger traffic and a major hub for both domestic and international flights.

Mass drone attack on Moscow and Moscow Oblast hits largest regional oil depot, forces airport shutdowns
On the night of October 5–6, 2025, Moscow and Moscow Oblast came under a mass drone attack lasting several hours. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said about 650 drones flew toward the region, with 105 shot down on approach to the capital. A fire broke out at LPDS 'Volodarskaya,' the largest oil depot in Moscow Oblast, and four Moscow-area airports suspended operations. Moscow Oblast Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported one death, six injuries, and damage to more than 10 private houses.
