Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office is a regional body of the Ukrainian prosecution service, exercising oversight of law enforcement and legal compliance across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It is part of the unified prosecutorial system headed by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The office conducts procedural supervision in criminal proceedings, supports state prosecution in courts, and represents the state's interests in civil and commercial cases.

Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih industrial site kills two, injures several including a teenager
On 19 October, at around 10:00, Russian forces struck an industrial enterprise in the Pokrovskyi district of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, using a weapon referred to as "Banderol." Two men were killed. By 12:30, seven people were reported injured, including a 15-year-old boy, with five hospitalized. The blast also damaged nearby residential buildings, a college, a post office, a bank, shops and vehicles. Local and oblast officials reported on the attack, a relief headquarters was set up in a nearby gymnasium, and a war-crimes proceeding was opened.

Zelensky appoints Anton Kovalsky as acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decree No. 946/2026 appointing Anton Kovalsky, previously the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, as acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The appointment comes days after the Verkhovna Rada voted to accept the resignation of Ruslan Kravchenko, whose dismissal followed an NABU and SAP investigation into a criminal organization operating in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
