Ukraine and EU discuss oversight of €90 billion support loan and defence procurement reforms
Ukraine's Defence Ministry and the European Commission discussed verification and control of Ukraine Support Loan funds, Ukraine's defence-financing priorities for 2027, and closer defence-industrial cooperation. The talks also covered procurement reforms, the EU-Ukraine Defence Industry Pact, the Drone Deal initiative, and potential joint ventures. Ukraine has received nearly €16 billion under the loan, including a €2.86 billion defence tranche disbursed in mid-October.
