NABU exposes alleged bribery scheme inside Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office
Ukraine's anti-corruption bodies NABU and SAP say they exposed a criminal organization, in an operation codenamed "Carthage," that was created and led by a senior official of the Office of the Prosecutor General. The group is alleged to have systematically taken bribes from fraudulent call centers and laundered tens of millions of hryvnias through real estate, jewelry and bank accounts. Five participants have been exposed; the OGP says it will fully cooperate and suspend the employee under investigation.
