State Duma
The State Duma of the Russian Federation is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, consisting of 450 deputies elected to five-year terms. Together with the Federation Council it forms the Russian parliament and is the sole body empowered to pass federal laws. It is headquartered in Moscow on Okhotny Ryad street. Its Chairman is Vyacheslav Volodin.

Western officials expect Russia-Ukraine war to continue into 2026 as Putin plans winter escalation
European and American officials have privately accepted that Russia's war in Ukraine will continue into next year, according to reports. US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow and Kyiv over the weekend but produced no breakthrough, while European security advisors joined talks in Kyiv to prepare for future negotiations.
