Department of Education and Science of the Kyiv City State Administration
The Department of Education and Science of the Kyiv City State Administration is a structural unit of the Kyiv City State Administration responsible for implementing state policy in education and science in the Ukrainian capital. It oversees municipal preschool, secondary, extracurricular and vocational education institutions in Kyiv, as well as matters of scientific activity. The department is headed by a director appointed by the Mayor of Kyiv.

Russian drone strikes Kyiv school sheltering over 100 students
A Russian drone struck a school in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district on the morning of October 1 while more than 100 students and about 60 staff sheltered inside. The strike damaged the facade, started a fire, and blew out windows, but no children or staff were injured. The school's drone warhead did not detonate and was later neutralized by sappers.
