The EU Delegation is the diplomatic mission of the European Union in Ukraine, headed by the Head of Delegation who serves as the EU Ambassador. It represents the EU institutions in the country and is responsible for bilateral relations, monitoring the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, and managing EU assistance programmes.

Russian drone strikes National Academy of Sciences building in central Kyiv, killing at least one
On 28 September, a Russian jet-powered drone struck the Presidium building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street in central Kyiv during the working day, causing a large fire and significant damage. At least one woman was killed and multiple people were injured, including former National Security and Defense Council Secretary Volodymyr Horbulin, who sustained minor injuries. The attack drew sharp international condemnation and prompted Ukraine's foreign minister to call for stripping Russia of its UNESCO voting rights.
