On 1 October, Russian drones struck the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge in Kyiv multiple times, including a morning attack that hit near the bridge's support structure while a metro train was crossing, and an evening attack at 21:50 that struck the roadway. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported the hits; metro and surface public transport across the bridge were halted in both incidents.
