Danish Armed Forces
The Danish Armed Forces (Forsvaret) are the military forces of the Kingdom of Denmark, comprising the Army, the Royal Danish Navy, the Royal Danish Air Force and the Danish Emergency Management Agency. They are headed by the monarch as supreme commander, with day-to-day command exercised by the Chief of Defence. Denmark is a founding member of NATO, and its armed forces participate in joint missions and alliance operations.
