Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine
The Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine is the codified law governing criminal proceedings in Ukraine. It sets out the rules for pre-trial investigation, court hearings and the appeal of judicial decisions in criminal cases, as well as the rights and duties of participants in the process. The current version entered into force on 20 November 2012, replacing the Soviet-era code of 1960, and has been amended repeatedly since then, including in connection with reforms of law-enforcement bodies and the conditions of martial law.
