Criminal Code of Ukraine
The Criminal Code of Ukraine is the codified law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in 2001 and in force since 1 September 2001. It defines the concept of a crime, the grounds for criminal liability, the system of punishments and the rules for their imposition. The Code is divided into a General Part and a Special Part and is regularly amended by new articles. Its provisions are applied in criminal proceedings, including cases involving counterfeit medicines, fraud or the illegal circulation of pharmaceutical products.
