Crimea Platform
The Crimea Platform is an international consultative and coordination format launched in 2021 on Ukraine's initiative to consolidate efforts aimed at the deoccupation of Crimea and the protection of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people. It brings together more than forty states and international organisations that do not recognise Russia's annexation of the peninsula. Annual summits bring together heads of state and government to adopt joint declarations and outline practical steps in security, human rights and the economy.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly on September 22, US President Donald Trump said the Russia-Ukraine war will end "sooner than people realize," that the US is working "very closely" with both countries' leaders, and that he has signed the so-called "Lindsey Graham law" sanctions bill and is ready to use it if necessary to "stop the killing." Trump also urged Russian leader Vladimir Putin to "end the war" in brief comments to journalists before the speech. The remarks come ahead of a scheduled same-day meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York.
