Communist Party of the Russian Federation
The CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) is a Russian left-wing political party founded in 1993 as the legal successor to the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. It traditionally positions itself as an opposition force to the Kremlin's course while routinely aligning with it in practice, and it holds seats in the State Duma. Gennady Zyuganov led the party for decades.
