COREPER II
COREPER II is the regular meeting of the European Union member states' permanent representatives at ambassadorial level, which prepares the work of the Council of the European Union and takes decisions on its behalf in cases provided for by the Council's rules of procedure. It is the forum where member states reconcile their positions on sanctions packages, the EU budget and external-policy decisions before formal adoption by the Council.
