Constitution of Ukraine
The Constitution of Ukraine is the supreme law of the country, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 28 June 1996. It establishes the foundations of the state system, the rights and freedoms of citizens, the separation of powers into legislative, executive, and judicial branches, and the status of the Ukrainian language as the state language. The Constitution defines Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, the procedure for holding elections and referendums, and the powers of state and local government bodies.
