Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration
The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration is a body of state authority in Chernihiv Oblast, established in 2022 after Russia's full-scale invasion to replace the regional state administration. It is headed by a chair appointed by decree of the President of Ukraine. The administration coordinates local government bodies and is responsible for defence, humanitarian aid, and infrastructure recovery across the oblast.

Russian missile destroys residential building in Pryluky, killing at least two
On the night and morning of 7 October 2026, Russian forces struck a five-story apartment building in the city of Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast, with a missile, almost completely destroying it and killing at least two people. The attack was part of a wider combined Russian missile barrage that also hit Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kremenchuk.
