Bundeswehr
The Bundeswehr is the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. It falls under the German Federal Ministry of Defence and is one of the largest militaries in Europe. Re-established as a unified force in 1990, it has shifted from a primarily territorial-defence posture to taking part in NATO and EU operations abroad.
