Drones attack two commercial ships in Bulgaria's Black Sea zone; one sinks, crew missing
On 6 October, drones struck two commercial vessels in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea. The Togo-flagged ALFA WATAN suffered critical structural damage and sank east of the Bulgarian coast, and its crew is considered missing. The Palau-flagged ABLE caught fire; all 18 crew members were evacuated to the Bulgarian ferry DIOSCURIA, with wounded receiving first aid. Bulgarian PM Rumen Radev called the attack an absolutely unacceptable assault and a gross violation of international law.
