Bucharest Nine
The Bucharest Nine (B9) is a format of political cooperation among nine NATO member states on the Alliance's eastern flank, established in November 2015 on the initiative of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. Its members are Romania, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. It serves as a platform for coordinating positions on eastern-flank security and for engagement with the United States and other allies.
