EU Council sanctions 10 individuals and 17 organizations over forced deportation of Ukrainian children
On 28 September, the Council of the European Union adopted a decision imposing sanctions on 10 additional individuals and 17 organizations responsible for actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. The package targets those involved in the systematic illegal deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia and to temporarily occupied territories, as well as their forced assimilation, ideological indoctrination and militarized education.
