Belarusian Armed Forces
The Belarusian Armed Forces are the military forces of the Republic of Belarus, tasked with defending the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. They consist of the Ground Forces, Air Force and Air Defence Forces, and the Special Operations Forces. The president serves as supreme commander-in-chief, while the minister of defence directs the armed forces on a day-to-day basis. Belarus is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Union State with Russia, and its armed forces regularly hold joint exercises with the Russian military, including on Belarusian territory.

Latvian president: most NATO states could not repel Russian missile attack
Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs warned in an interview with The Guardian, given during a visit to Washington, that most NATO countries would struggle to handle a Russian missile attack on European territory and that Europe is not keeping pace with drone and air-warfare technology being developed in Ukraine. He said preparations could become obsolete by mid-2026 or mid-2027. The warning came as Poland's Donald Tusk said Russia could strike NATO supporters within months, and Donald Trump responded dismissively.
