Ukraine carries out world's first aerial drone evacuation of wounded soldier from frontline
Ukraine's 92nd Separate Assault Brigade announced on 19 October that its troops, alongside other units, had evacuated a wounded soldier from a frontline position using a heavy hexacopter drone — described as the first such aerial evacuation in the world. The infantryman, from the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, could not be reached by ground robotic systems because of Russian FPV drone activity and mined terrain, and is now reported to be out of danger.
