Apostolic Nunciature to Ukraine
The Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in Ukraine is the Vatican's diplomatic mission to Ukraine, headed by an Apostolic Nuncio who holds the rank of ambassador. It serves as the formal channel of communication between the Pope and the Holy See, on one side, and the Ukrainian state and the Catholic Church in Ukraine, both Latin and Greek Catholic, on the other. The nunciature is based in Kyiv and is responsible for the pastoral and ecclesiastical affairs of the Catholic dioceses in the country as well as bilateral relations with the Ukrainian government.
