An-124
The An-124 Ruslan is a Soviet-designed strategic airlifter developed by the Antonov Design Bureau, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was produced both in Ukraine (Kyiv) and, for most of its production run, at the Aviastar plant in Ulyanovsk, Russia. It is one of the largest serial cargo aircraft ever built and is operated by military and commercial cargo carriers, including the Russian Air Forces and Antonov Airlines, for transporting heavy and outsized loads.

German investigation names Russian biker as organizer of failed drone attack on Ukrainian plane at Leipzig airport
A drone carrying 1.8 kg of Semtex struck the wing of a parked Ukrainian An-124 cargo aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport on the night of August 5, 2026, but failed to detonate. A joint investigation by The Telegraph and Welt am Sonntag identified Russian biker Oleg Levushkin as the suspected organizer and Belarusian agent Andrei Karshakov as the suspected direct executor. On September 1, Germany officially accused Russia of the hybrid attack and announced countermeasures, including closing the Russian consulate general in Bonn.

Danish intelligence warns of concrete Russian sabotage planning targeting defense firms linked to Ukraine aid
