Amprion
Amprion is a German transmission system operator (TSO) and one of the four major high-voltage grid operators in Germany. The company is headquartered in Dortmund and runs the extra-high-voltage network in western and southern Germany, playing a central role in the country's energy transition and cross-border electricity interconnections. It is regulated by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) and owned in part by the MVV Energie group and other municipal utilities.

Germany's Merz visits Kyiv, announces €1.3bn support package and 15 bilateral agreements
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv on 4 October on an unannounced visit, where he and President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a new German support package for Ukraine worth more than €1.3 billion. The two leaders signed 15 bilateral agreements with a combined value of more than €8.5 billion, covering military, energy and drone production cooperation, and Merz used the visit to call on Vladimir Putin to stop the war.
