Institute for the Study of War
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) is a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that conducts research on armed conflict and publishes open-source analyses of contemporary wars, with a strong focus on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and developments in the Middle East. It was founded in 2007 by retired Lieutenant General James M. Dubik and military historian Kimberly Kagan, who has served as its president. ISW is best known for its daily assessments of the Russo-Ukrainian war, widely cited by Ukrainian and international media and policymakers.

Ukraine says Russia lost 2,380 military personnel in a day
Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russia lost 2,380 military personnel over the past day, bringing estimated personnel losses since the full-scale invasion to approximately 1,599,390 killed and wounded. The military also reported daily losses across tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, air-defense systems, drones and other equipment.

Day 1695: 260 combat clashes recorded, Pokrovsk direction sees heaviest fighting
The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported 260 combat clashes along the front line over the past day. The Pokrovsk direction saw the highest concentration of attacks at 35. Russian forces launched one missile strike, 85 airstrikes dropping 278 guided aerial bombs, 8,224 kamikaze drones, and 2,625 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, 15 of them using multiple launch rocket systems.

General Staff: 238 clashes recorded in past day, heaviest fighting on Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions
Ukraine's General Staff reported 238 combat clashes across the front over the past day, the 1671st day of what Ukraine terms Russia's full-scale armed aggression. The Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions saw the most intense fighting. Russian forces carried out 91 airstrikes, dropped 295 guided aerial bombs, used 10,237 kamikaze drones and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 2,903 times.
